Book Review: Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets

First of all, I’m sorry I’ve been inactive for so long.
I’m going to try and be more active because it’s the summer holidays and I’m back from Turkey and Skegness now. (I’ll talk about that more in a different blog).
Also, something I just really wanted to add quickly was that if you read my blog, ‘Stage fright again’, you’ll know that I was really worried about performing in our school concert, which was a part of my music exam, and guess what… I DID IT!!!
I did my solo! If you didn’t know, I sang and played the piano, and I have 0% confidence, so I was going to drop out, but I didn’t! It actually went really well, and I feel like my performance went so much better than I expected!
The song I sang was ‘Yours’ by Ella Henderson. If you wanted to hear it just email me (my email is on my website, all you need to do is click on the contact bar at the top of my website and you can email me) and ask if you can hear my solo and I’ll send it to you!
Another thing I just wanted to quickly add, is that I wanted to say a huge thanks to for helping me so much and giving me a lot more confidence. I probably wouldn’t have done my solo without you. So, thank you so much, it really means lot! Everyone reading this should go and follow her, because her blogs are so amazing and inspirational!
Anyway, I thought a great way to start becoming more active again was to start of with a book review! Some of you might already know that I’m reading the Harry Potter books, as the last book review I did was ‘Harry Potter and The Philosophers Stone’. (You can go read it if you haven’t already.)
Also, I found out something really cool the other day!!! It was like 3 o’clock in the morning (I couldn’t sleep, so I started thinking about pure randomness) and GUESS WHAT I FOUND OUT!!!
I’ve been reading the Harry Potter books in the exact same time I’ve been going through my years at school! Literally, I was actually mind blown about this, LOL!!
Like, when I moved up to secondary school, my first year I was reading the first book and then I stopped reading them for a bit and then started reading the second book in my second year (without even realising), I recently finished the 3rd book the exact same time as I finished my 3rd year and now I’m reading the 4th book as I’m about to start my 4th year (year 10)!! And the funny thing is, the point that I’m at in the 4th book is where they’re in the summer holidays, like how I am now!!!
This is the moment where your all like, ‘yep. This girl’s literally crazy’, but I’m not even joking… I find that amazing! See the source imageSee the source image (Yes. I did just copy and paste emojis, I’m writing this on my laptop for the fist time ever and I can’t find the emoji button See the source image)
Ok, I should probably start my review now because I’ve been talking for a long time, I’m sorryyyyy. (Omg… A Harry Potter advert literally just came on the TV, #creepy !!)
LET THE NERDINESS… BEGIN!!! (Idk why I just did that, send help)
Date I Finished The Book: 04/07/2018
Book Title: Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets
Book Author: J.K Rowling
Date of Publication: 2 July 1998 and in the US on 2 June 1999
Number of Pages: 341
Main Characters: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger and Ginny Weasley
Setting: The story is set in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft And Wizardry, which is set in London.
Synopsis: Harry Potter’s summer has included the worst birthday ever, doomy warnings from a house-elf called Dobby, and is rescued from the Dursleys by his friend Ron Weasley in a magical flying car! Back at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for his second year, Harry hears strange whispers echo through empty corridors – and then the attacks start. Students are found as though turned to stone… Dobby’s sinister predictions seem to be coming true!
Key Points/Conflict: When Harry arrives at Hogwarts once again, after a tormenting, tedious, morose summer with the Dursleys, he begins to hear a bodiless voice around the school; which only he can hear.
Analysis/Evaluation: My favourite part in the book was when Harry, Ron and Hermione drink the Polyjuice potion which changes Harry into Goyle, Ron turns into Crab and Hermione accidently turns into a cat; which meant that Harry and Ron had to find Malfoy without her.

So, that’s the end of this blog!! I hope you liked it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

(wow, that sounded lame). If you’ve read this amazing book, please comment blow your opinions on it!! Thank you so much for reading my blog!

Toodles! xxx

PS: The Harry Potter advert just came back on again!!! See the source image
